Perinatal Psychology
Our treatment providers are all registered (or provisionally registered) psychologists with postgraduate training in clinical psychology.
Perinatal psychology typically refers to assistance with emotional and adjustment difficulties during the perinatal period (from when conception is being considered through to when the infant is around three years of age). Infant mental health refers to the healthy social and emotional development of infants in the period from birth to three years of age.
Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Services include:
- Pregnancy support counselling
- Treatment for antenatal and postnatal depression and/or anxiety
- Maternal exhaustion
- Perinatal loss
- Post-termination distress
- Survivors of sexual trauma
- Infertility
- Preparation/Adjustment to parenting
- Attachment and bonding
- Infant mental health
